2.1.1. Barber kit Case. The barber kit case shall be made of polyethylene or copolymer polypropylene plastic and constructed so as to contain a separate internal nesting tray made of the same material, and having a minimum depth of one (1) inch. The nesting tray shall have the same width and length as the inside of the barber kit case. The internal tray shall not cause bulging, distortion, or prevent the lid from closing when seated in the barber kit case. The barber kit case dimensions, shall be 12 to 16 inches long, 7..5to 9.5 inches wide, and 5 to 8 inches high. The barber kit case shall have a hinged cover and gasket, which makes the case water tight when closed. The case shall have a minimum of one handle and one latch and be designed to be padlocked. All hardware shall be either plastic or stainless steel to prevent corrosion. The case shall be a subdued color (black or gray) and shall be supplied with a weather resistant padlock and two keys (see 6.4).

2.1.2 Clipper, hand, hair. The hand hair clipper shall be commercial size No. O designed to cut hair to 1/32 inch long. It shall consist of cutting blades, handles, compression cap, and a blade guard. The clipper shall operate without binding, remain in an open position from the spring pressure, and the handle shall have a suitable finger rest.

2.1.3 Blade set, clipper, hand, hair. The blade set shall be size No.0 and shall be the manufacturer’s standard commercial product. The blade set shall be designed to cut hair 1/32 inch long and compatible with the model of hand clipper furnished (see 2.1.2).

2.1.4 Barber’s cloth. The barbers cloth shall be a dark green cotton or nylon cloth, be a minimum size of 40 inches by 40 inches, and all cut edges hemmed.
