2.1.5 Clipper, electric, hair. The electric hair clipper shall be made from high impact resistant plastic, operate on 115 volts, 25 to 60 cycle, AC-DC single phase, and have a speed of 1700 to 2900 strokes per minute. The clipper shall be equipped with a detachable cutter head, a method for hanging the clipper when not in use, an 8 foot cord set (with a strain relief at the entry to the motor housing), and the assembled, weight shall not exceed 2 pounds . The clipper shall be supplied with 2 blades, a size 1 and a size 000, a blade guard, a blade cleaning brush, a container of oil, a set of replacement carbon brushes (if applicable), and operating and maintenance instructions.
2.1.6 Blade adapter, hair, electric. A. “Butch Type”’, size 3-1/2, to be used with the electric hair clipper (see 2.1.5)
2.1.7 Shears, barber’s. The barber shears shall conform to A-A-2887.
2.1.8 Cream, shaving brushless. The shaving cream shall be the brushless type and supplied in 4-1/2 ounce tubes.
2.1.9 Germicide. The germicide shall be a quaternary ammonium type liquid disinfectant, with a 10 percent active product in 2-ounce plastic bottles.
2.1.10 Disposable razors. The razors shall be made of plastic with stainless steel blades and be disposable
2.1.11 Comb, hair. The comb shall be barber style, professional, 7-1/4 inch minimum length with half fine and half coarse teeth. The comb shall be any subdued color.
2.1.12 Soap bar. The bar soap shall be soft all-purpose type, 3- 1/2 ounce minimum, (personal size) for bathing, shaving, hand washing, and cleaning.
2.1.13 Soapbox. The soapbox shall be made of plastic and accommodate a 3-1/2 ounce personal size bar of soap.
2.1.14 Disinfectant tray. At the manufacturer’s option, a seamless aluminum or seamless plastic polyethylene or copolymer polypropylene (black or gray) tray shall be furnished. The tray shall be resistant to the germicide, and be approximately 7-1/4 inches long, 4-1/2 inches wide, and 2–1/2 inches high.
